Appointment prep
Your follow-up
Follow-ups are often the shortest appointments you get, and the easiest ones to leave without having asked what you meant to. These are the questions that shape the next few months.
Nothing to fill in, nothing saved, nothing sent anywhere.
Start by telling them
If this doctor didn't make the diagnosis, this is the only way they get it. If they did, keep it to what has changed since you were last here.
- What you were diagnosed with, when, and by whom
- What's happened since the diagnosis: better, worse, or the same
- What you've already tried: for how long, and what happened
- Anything in the family: hormonal, thyroid, or diabetes, if it hasn't come up already
Then ask
You won't get through all of these. Pick the two that matter most, and write the answers down as they come.
Ask about the plan
Medication is part of the plan
Before you leave
These are a reminder for you. Ask them in whatever order the conversation takes.
Anayah does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. This suggests what to say and what to ask. It does not interpret your symptoms or results, and nothing here replaces a consultation with a qualified doctor. If you are not sure which doctor to see, our guide on which doctor to see for hormonal symptoms may help.
