When the tests say normal
Being told everything is fine when you do not feel fine is a hard place to start from. These questions are about finding out what that normal was measured against, and where in the range you actually fell.
Nothing to fill in, nothing saved, nothing sent anywhere.
Start by telling them
What you say is the only new information in the room, so put a number on how long. “This hasn't changed in fourteen months” is easier to act on than “I still don't feel right”.
- Which tests were run, and when: if you have them to hand
- What hasn't changed, and for how long
- When it started: roughly is fine
- What you've already tried: for how long, and what happened
- Anything in the family: hormonal, thyroid, or diabetes, if it hasn't come up already
Then ask
You won't get through all of these. Pick the two that matter most, and write the answers down as they come.
Ask about what was found
Before you leave
These are a reminder for you. Ask them in whatever order the conversation takes.
Anayah does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. This suggests what to say and what to ask. It does not interpret your symptoms or results, and nothing here replaces a consultation with a qualified doctor. If you are not sure which doctor to see, our guide on which doctor to see for hormonal symptoms may help.
