Making sense of results

Holding a report you cannot read is its own kind of worry. These questions are about getting the numbers turned back into plain language, and finding out how much of the picture they cover.

Nothing to fill in, nothing saved, nothing sent anywhere.

01

Start by telling them

If this is the doctor who ordered the tests, they have the file and you can go straight to your questions. If it's someone new, they have a number on a page and none of the story behind it.

  • Which tests, and when: what you were told about them, if anything
  • When it started: roughly is fine
  • What's been going on: what's changed recently
  • What you've already tried: for how long, and what happened
  • Anything in the family: hormonal, thyroid, or diabetes, if it hasn't come up already
02

Then ask

You won't get through all of these. Pick the two that matter most, and write the answers down as they come.

Ask about the results

Before you leave

These are a reminder for you. Ask them in whatever order the conversation takes.

Anayah does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. This suggests what to say and what to ask. It does not interpret your symptoms or results, and nothing here replaces a consultation with a qualified doctor. If you are not sure which doctor to see, our guide on which doctor to see for hormonal symptoms may help.

Want to know when it's ready?

We'll email you once, when there's something worth your time.

Which sounds most like you? (optional)

Anayah's waitlist is for adults. If you're under 18 and something feels off, please talk to a parent, guardian, or doctor.
